Arrived in Munich (München) today. Really hungry and went looking for food. Found an Italian restaurant (yes I know, should have found a German restaurant, but couldn't).
Went into this beautiful church to take some photos but there was a service on so left it for another day.
This pedestrian shopping street does more retail than anywhere in Germany.
This beautiful building is a department store with a church in the background.
Clown in the shopping street making balloon animals for the kids.
This figure was above the entrance to a shopping arcade off of the main shopping street. And no, I have no idea what the point is.
This shop is called Wormland and I have no idea what it sells.
This is the Rathaus in Munich. And no, it's not full or rats it's full of politicians as it's the local town hall. Wait a minute I might have been wrong, maybe it is full of rats.
This building may look like a church but it's actually the teddy bear museum. And no, I didn't go in, how old do you think I am?
At the bottom of the shopping street there was a market and in the middle was a beer garden.
And here are the customers drinking...
Here beer drinkers gather around the local watering hole.
Here we have one of the waiters wearing traditional lederhosen. Come on ladies, it's time for another vote. Would I look good in lederhosen?
Hidden in this fruit stall is a teddy bear that probably escaped from the nearby museum. Can anyone spot it?
For some reason these goose heads were flying off the stall. Someone grabbed one as I took this photo.
Whereas no one was interested in these crows.
Why don't we get skies like this in Scotland?
The scaffolders beat me to this church.
This is statue to the journalist, Sigi Sommer. No, I have no idea why they put a statue up to him. Google it if you want to know more.
This van was in the middle of the shopping street. 'Say yes to cannabis' This blog in no way endorses the drug preferences of others.
Energy drink? Really?
If you would like to dress up in the traditional southern German style then here is where you should come. (They had nothing in my size)
After a tough day's shopping here is where you come to cool down.
Came across this strange looking machine parked in the bike bay. Does this remind anyone of the disastrous Sinclair C5? This machine is called the Twike.
The heat of a Munich summer's day drove me into this beer garden where I tried out a stein of their best beer. There is seating for 5,000 and most of the seating was gone by the time I got there.
This is where they fill the glass steins from wooden beer barrels. The place is so large that they have an electric vehicle going round the garden picking up empty glasses.
I remember the water fountain water show thing because we all ran through it!
